Ever since a young girl I can always remember dogs being a big part of my day-to-day family life. Over the years I have owned and rescued a variety of dog breeds from Chihuahua to Weimaraner and everything in between. As a family we had a menagerie of dogs and when we all got together you bet there was more dogs than people! I was lucky enough to be given my very own dog (a gorgeous West Highland Terrier) at 16 to love, train and spoil. I currently reside in Lacock with my husband and two dogs, my West Highland Terrier, Bonnie and an adopted retired guide dog, Hovis.
I began to think about combining my love of dogs and the potential of earning a full time income from my hobby. My goal is to run a professional business without compromising on quality. I have run and operated an extensive dog walking and boarding service in Wiltshire for 7 years and over that time I began to realise how each, and every dog is an individual and deserve to be treated as so.
As a graduate of the Victoria Stillwell Dog Training Academy this means I am a passionate advocate for positive reinforcement training techniques and methods – no aversive or punitive methods here! Training is force free and humane. I like to focus on problem solving and finding what really motivates a dog, how to communicate with your canine companion, but also engaging the owner with the training so that the dog and person is set up for success.
